How you will contribute:

We're seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Generalist who will be the vital force that keeps our Texas office running smoothly and efficiently, while enhancing our team cohesion and engagement. This individual is responsible for a wide range of HR and Office Management tasks under the general supervision of the People and Culture Manager. The ideal candidate has a passion for administration, running an well-organized office, supporting others and fostering an inclusive work environment that allows team members to bring their best selves to work. What you will be working on:

HR Operations & Compliance
  • Assist with the administration of timesheets, payroll/accounting, compensation, and benefit plans.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and exits and assist with the recruitment process of temporary and permanent employees.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies and programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Organize and undertake tasks around quarterly and biannual employee performance reviews.
  • Maintain accurate employee files and records.
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal labor regulations.
  • Participate in Safety and Compliance meetings.
  • Monitor Workers' Compensation activity and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to address workplace safety concerns, including timely reporting, investigation, and follow-up on any incidents.
  • Assist the accounting team with a variety of internal audits to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and to align with company goals and objectives.
  • Organize training & development initiatives.
  • Other related projects as assigned.
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact, creating a positive and professional atmosphere for guests and team members.
  • Resolve employee-related issues promptly, discreetly and professionally.
  • Ideate, plan and execute engaging activities, off-site events, lunches and celebrations for team members, and assist with larger company-wide events as needed.
  • Help establish operational procedures and guidelines to help enhance the employee experience.
  • Be a culture carrier and look for new and innovative ways to ensure Plantible continues to be an incredible place to work.
Office Management
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked office and common areas by managing supplies and inventory proactively.
  • Ensure a comfortable, functional and impeccable office environment, from greeting new hires and welcoming guests to managing meeting spaces and tech.
  • Prepare conference and meeting areas with necessary equipment and tools for productivity.

What you bring to Plantible:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • At least 1-2 years of proven related HR experience, demonstrating reliability and expertise. PHR, SHRM-CP or HR Management certificate a must for those without previous experience.
  • Knowledge of HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, performance management, and talent development.
  • A strong understanding of federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and excellent organizational skills are a must. Proven ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Masterful time management and organizational abilities to keep the office running smoothly.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with on-site, hybrid and remote team members.
  • Advanced skills in HR information systems, Google Workspace, MS Office, Slack and other relevant software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost integrity and discretion.
  • Proactive team player, self-starter with high degree of autonomy and accountability.
  • Gives and receives direct feedback to help others learn. Not afraid to ask questions, ask for help, or tell others what to do when needed.
