Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Innovation and Development team on the design and execution of upstream and downstream processes for the development of bacterial protein extract products.
  • Operate lab scale bioreactors and, monitor critical parameters (pH, temperature, oxygen levels,), assuring compliance with SOP´s.
  • Execute equipment maintenance and calibration. Clean and sterilize equipment used in bioprocessing. Calibrate instruments and systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare media, buffers and solutions for bioprocesses.
  • Track and document the experiments to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Perform in-process sampling and analytics using biochemical and physicochemical techniques such as: spectrometry, HPLC, and enzymatic analysis.
  • Document and record data. Maintain accurate records of processes, including lab reports and batch records. Assist in compiling and analysing process data for improvements.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor degree in Bioprocess Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical or Bioprocess Engineering, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of bioprocessing equipment like bioreactors, filtration systems, and centrifuges.
  • Basic knowledge of upstream (fermentation) and downstream (separation, inactivation) processes.
  • Analytical and creative thinking, attention to the detail.
  • Effective communication with team members and supervisors.
  • Teamwork and collaborate as a part of a bioprocessing team.
  • Willingness to collaborate with another departments including operations and regulatory affairs.
  • You are fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus
