Growth Equity Investing at Astanor:

Astanor aims to foster a transformative agrifood ecosystem, addressing climate change, biodiversity loss, and the well-being of humanity and the planet. The vision is an agrifood system capable of supporting a global population of 10 billion, while also regenerating natural resources and aiding in decarbonisation.

The Astanor Growth Fund (AG I) is positioned uniquely to fill the growth capital gap in the bioeconomy and guide winning ventures to their next growth stages. Astanor's proposition on growth equity encompasses an investment thesis focused on backing companies that alleviate the strain on nature including resources management, energy transition, and clean tech sectors. AG I will focus on sustainable food and agriculture, green chemicals, biotech and materials, sustainable food and materials production, agrifood digital platforms and software, circular systems, waste management, and regenerative agriculture.

The min. targeted fund size for AG I is €500m, with a target portfolio of 10-12 companies. Headquartered in Paris, this fund will be global in its investment strategy but with the majority of participations expected in Europe.
