About the role

As the Financial Controller at Astanor, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Lead. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of financial activities, from ensuring accurate financial reporting to managing relationships with key stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Astanor's success and shape the future of our finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accurate and timely financial close process for all levels (GPs, Feeder Funds, Master Funds, SPVs, Support Entities), coordinating with various administrators to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting exercises, monitoring variances and providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow planning and approval of payments, ensuring efficient financial operations.
  • Monitor invoicing cycles and oversee VAT and tax filings by service providers.
  • Serving as the main point of contact during audits and providing support throughout the process.
  • Undertake ad hoc assignments and financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with a strong academic background in finance and a minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience in Financial Controlling. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail, exceptional time management skills, and the capability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Fluency in English is a prerequisite, while proficiency in French and/or Dutch would be advantageous.
