About This Role:

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for ensuring our customer sites in the region operate smoothly. You will maintain Apeel’s application equipment, audit our equipment at customer sites, act as the main point of contact for our customers, and respond to customer issues in Brazil for Apeel’s supplier partners. As a Field Service Engineer I, you will work with our customers to solve issues that enable steady operations and open the door to expansion in Brazil.

You’ll be responsible for sites in Brazil. This position will have up to a 50% travel requirement. Applicants must be fluent in Portuguese and English.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues at each assigned site.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory at each customer site.
  • Monitor site process and performance health.
  • Perform installations at new supplier sites.
  • Receive and transmit customer feedback
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships

What you’ll bring:

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or BA in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, BioEngineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, Materials Science
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strong commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Reliable transportation
  • Applicants must be fluent in Portuguese and English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with postharvest products
  • Experience working in packing house environments
  • Ability to travel and work in neighboring South American countries
