About This Role

Responsible for driving commercial market success in software product development. Your focus will be on market exploration, value proposition determination, product strategy, and pricing, and generating revenue streams for software and data products that transform the world’s food system.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a revenue-generating, software product roadmap (including P&L) from market research, customer visits, and industry expertise.
  • Voice of Customer (VoC) - Maintain a customer-centric approach, gathering feedback, conducting user testing, and iterating on product features to meet customer needs and enhance user experience.
  • Determine software product strategy and pricing.
  • Provide strategic vision and leadership software product management.
  • Collaborate and present to Executive Leadership to align software product initiatives with business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to align software development initiatives with product development goals.
  • Foster collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Lead all UI/UX design activities.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to foster professional growth and cultivate a culture of excellence.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, competitive analysis and emerging technologies and trends relevant to software product management.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years experience in revenue-generating, software product development
  • Bachelor degree preferred in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience building and executing software product roadmaps with clear business outcomes and prioritization of software/feature builds based on quantitative metrics
  • Experience in driving research and innovation initiatives, with a track record of implementing novel solutions.
  • Experience in aligning hardware needs with software engineering
  • Experience in designing and commercializing data service based products
  • Strong leadership skills and proven experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally as well as translate customer needs into product roadmaps.
  • Excellent understanding of emerging technologies and their application to software engineering
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate technical concepts into actionable strategies and plans across the business
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align Software Sciences initiatives with organizational goals
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally

Compensation for this role is expected to be between $225,000 and $250,000. Actual base pay may be higher or lower depending on geographic locations, skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
